- Not every automatic lawnmower is designed for the same cutting coverage. There is a maximum work area for each one. If you’re lucky enough to have a large garden, then you should be looking for a larger mower.

- You can set the time when you want the automatic mower to be in operation. Some people prefer for this to happen once it has got dark, so that they can enjoy every last minute in the garden. Others prefer it to cut whilst they are at work. The ideal automatic mower will be quiet, and not disturb either you or your neighbours during sleeping hours.
- Automatic mowers come complete with an alarm. This will also give you information about where the mower is, supposing that it is stolen.
