Hayter – Current Warranty and Service Information

Established in 1946, Hayter have now been for a long time, producing first-class quality, domestically made lawnmowers. This is largely down to the brand maintaining its core principles at heart, but also adapting to the ever-changing consumer and their specific requirements. Always distinctive to notice with their British green paint finish, the company’s machines/models can come with either mains electric motors or petrol engines, so that their range of lawnmowers can be suitable for any size and or type of garden.

Now even though the brand itself is perceived as being ‘premium’ in terms of both design and quality, due to their long-term presence in the market (over 70 years’ worth of experience) and the knowledge and understanding they have of the lawnmower market itself, you obviously still need to make sure that it does maintain its high level of performance. For this to be achieved, you need to make sure you are up-to-date on your model’s warranty and service information. Servicing your machine is paramount in making sure that this optimum performance level does not drop below the level for which you may require. Moving onto the topic of warranty, this can also be of high importance if your machine was to be stolen for example or in the case of damage outside of your control. However, it is important to note that the warranty and service information will be different for each Hayter model in terms of whether you are using your machine for domestic or commercial use, which is why we have provided a table below with specific information for the models available.

Range Domestic Commercial
Domestic Lawnmowers 3 years 90 days
Envoy 2 years N/A
Harrier 5 years 90 days
Harrier Pro 1 year 1 year
Scarifier 1 year 90 days

Quickly touching on the servicing regarding these ranges, they are all recommended to be serviced annually, as is the case with any garden machinery really for reasons which have been explained in the above and to put your mind at rest, regarding worrying about having to spend a large sum of money on a new machine unnecessarily.

General Maintenance Advice

Furthermore, there are also a wide range of key tips that you should follow in addition to knowing about the warranty and recommended servicing of your machine. This will be provided in another table down below.

Period Advice
First 5 Hours Change the engine oil/Adjust clutch cable.
Daily (Before Use) Check oil level and machine condition.
25 Hours/Every Season Service air cleaner and sharper cutting blade.
50 Hours/Every Season Change the engine oil.
100 Hours/Every Season Clean engine cooling system and replace the spark plug.

It is also obvious to check on the engine and make sure it has no signs of damage. This would need to be checked in more than one way, including looking at the air cleaner, carburettor, cover, dipstick, exhaust, exhaust guard, fuel cap, spark plug and start grip.

We hope that this information is enough for you to take note of Hayter’s current warranty and service policies and more importantly, how vital they are in maintaining the performance of your model.
