There are now several types of lawn mowers currently on the market.

One of the models that has been more popular recently is the robotic mower. You can get good results from this automatic lawn mower, just as long as you mark out the boundary of where you want your lawn to be cut. Once you’ve done this then you can then switch your mower on and leave it to run whilst you go and do something else.

The traditional mower is manually pushed. This requires some level of physical fitness and strength. They can be heavy and need to be pushed in order to trim the grass.

You’ll notice that mowers that are classified as professional will usually be wider than a domestic one. This enables them to cover more ground in less time. They may be used in schools, public gardens and universities.

Here’s what you should consider when making your choice:

How is the weight? Are you going to feel comfortable when operating it, or can you foresee issues with operating it due to needing to lug it up hills and maybe even steps?

Check that its blades are not exposed as this is a safety concern.

There should be no problem with starting your lawn mower and handling it should be easy to do.

If you have a particularly large lawn, you might want to opt for a professional mower to save yourself time and trouble. If the area is very large, then take a look at ride-on mowers.

Although lawn mowers can work wonders when it comes to maintaining your lawn, it’s important to consider the size of your lawn and to match what you have with a suitable machine. You can call us to help you decide which mower is right for your circumstances on 01452 616 619.
