Stihl MSA 160 C-BQ Cordless Chainsaw

The Stihl MSA 160 C-BQ is a cordless chainsaw with exceptional cutting performance and the ability to leave a smooth, precise finish. A match for petrol power with the freedom to roam cable-free, this compact chainsaw is suitable for horticultural work, cutting firewood and sawing maintenance. Stihl’s 36v lithium-ion battery range are designed to match petrol power, but without the fumes and running costs. For the Stihl MSA 160 C-BQ Stihl recommend the AP 200 Pro battery (sold separately) which will give the user 35 minutes run time on a single charge. All Stihl batteries come with a LED charge level indicator to let you know when to recharge. There are two stages to the battery connection; the 1st stage is neutral which leaves the battery in position for transportation, but not connected; the 2nd connects the battery for use.Engineered with low-vibration technology, the MSA 160 C-BQ produces minimum user fatigue. Stihl’s new safety features ensure the chain stops not only when there is a sufficient kickback, but also when the front hand guard is activated and the user lets go of the rear handgrip. A low-kickback 1/4″ PM3 saw chain and 30cm/12″ long guide bar will make light work of saplings and small trees with branches up to 20cm in diameter.The MSA 160 C-BQ is packed full of Stihl features:

• STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning system: Tool-free. Easy to tension the chain by simply releasing the sprocket cover and turning the thumb wheel to the optimum tension.

• Two-handled operation: Comfortable soft-grip handles which ensure user safety in all operating positions.
• Transparent Chain Oil Tank: Check oil levels without needing to remove the oil filler cap.
• Control Lever: Which features an interlock system for increased safety.
• Stihl’s additional braking system: The chain will stop if kickback is aggressive, during active actuation of the front hand guard, and also when you release the rear handle.
